Basil Hantash is a Palestinian physician who was born and educated primarily in the United States. He is completing his specialty training at Stanford University . He currently serves on the medical advisory board of the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, a non-profit non-political organization dedicated to providing medical relief to Palestinian children who lack access to critically needed healthcare. He joined the PCRF shortly after moving to the south Bay area from the east coast, where he completed his MD-PhD training. His first medical mission was in September of 2002.

During his two week stay in the Gaza strip, he worked in close conjunction with the Palestinian Ministry of Health to evaluate the healthcare system.  He also visited all the regions refugee camp where he evaluated numerous pediatric cases for further treatment in the United States.  He has lectured on the healthcare crisis in Palestine and will be discussing the connection between the political situation and the birth of the PCRF.

He is also a member of the S.B.I.A. (South Bay Islamic Association) Media Outreach Committee, which works with the major media outlets in covering topics related to Islam and Muslims in the Bay Area. They also help to train the local Muslim community in how to effectively interact with the Media.

Will Youmans is a writer on the Palestinian / Israeli conflict.  His writings have been published in Counterpunch, Palestine Chronicle, the Daily Californian, and dozens of other publications.  Currently, he is working on a chapter for a book on Arab and Muslim Americans since September 11th, 2001 to be published in the fall by Haymarket books.   

Will has graduated from Universities of Michigan and California, Berkley.  

Saba Khan is a 19 year old student from Santa Clara, CA. She is currently studying Business Administration: Accounting and Finance at San Jose State University.

Delores Lundie has a degree in Nursing and continued her education and career as an RN for 30 years before finally retiring.

She has studied " Islamic Civilization" , and "Arabic" with Dr. Khalid Siddiqui.

Sr. Delores is currently the Communication Director for the AMICC and Cable television ch-15A in San Jose; and is also serving on the executive board of ACORN, a grassroots organization focused on the needs of low-income communities, schools, jobs, safety, and civil rights issues.

Sumreena Hussain is a 6th grade 'Social Studies and Language Arts' teacher at Granada Islamic School in Santa Clara, CA.  She has dual degrees in Psychology and Education from the University of Michigan. 

  Sr. Sumreena is currently making it a priority to study Quran in depth and enjoys reading all kinds of books.  She is an avid book collector.

Audrey Bird was a guest host on our 'Professional Muslim Women' show. 

Audrey Bird is an Emmy-nominated producer of educational programming with a focus on ecotourism, especially in Africa, and endangered animals.  Ms. Bird writes for documentary and travel television and she has worked with some of the best in the arena of national network sports television. Ms. Bird is also active in the independent film community as a script supervisor, and she is a trained actor, believing that training helps her understand the needs of talent and the audience alike and to create a better product behind and in front of the camera. Ms. Bird was thrilled to be involved with Muslim Round Table.

Zakia Pathan is an artist and a co-founder of Revival Arts. Through Islamic art and decor they hope to keep the remembrance of Allah in our eyes and in our hearts. They provide hand made, hand crafted lanterns, candle, and colorful glass votives to decorate the home or office. InshaAllah their artwork will encourage us and others to praise Allah (swt) by illuminating the beautiful words of the Quran.

Zakia Pathan has studied Psychology and is currently a Pre-K teacher at Silicon Valley Academy.
